Forums are there for you to ask questions, start a discussion or respond to other members.

They can be found within groups in the community. If a group has a forum, you can find them on the left of the page or the header at the top of the group page. 

To access a forum, select the forum name and you will be presented with all questions and discussions within that forum.

Filtering questions

You can filter the questions by:

• unread questions.
• questions you've participated in.
• questions you've asked. 
• unanswered questions.
• answered questions. 
• questions with suggested answers.
• questions with no replies.

To do this, select the dropdown menu on the top left of the question list. 

You can also filter the questions by:

• title.
• date.
• reply count.
• view count.
• most asked.
• votes.
• quality.

or by ascending or descending order. 

Just select the dropdown menus above the author names. 

Asking a question

If you want to ask a question or start a discussion, select the 'what do you want to know?' box and type your text in here. Then select the 'Ask' button. this will direct you to a new page where you can add more information about your question, in the description box. 

Once you are happy with your question, select the 'Post' button at the bottom of the page and your question will be published to the forum. 

Replying to questions, liking, and other features

To reply to a question posted by another member, select the reply button underneath the question.

To like a question, select the 'Like' button below the post. This indicates to the poster that you appreciate their contribution. When members like a piece of content, status message or comment, they can promote its rank in the community and increase its influence. Content can only be liked once by each member.

To vote for an answer or verify it, select the options below the post. This indicates that you think the reply is good and answers the question well. 

You can also turn notifications on or off for this post, share it or bookmark the thread by selecting the options on the right of the page.

You will be presented with a text box that you can use to input your answer. You can also format your answer if you wish to. 

Once you are happy with your answer, select the 'Reply' button and it will be posted. 

If you would like to delete or edit your post, then select the 'More' button underneath the post and select either the 'Delete' or 'Edit' button to do this.
