Hi Megan, firstly it’s great to hear you’re on your refereeing journey, it’s honestly an incredible journey that can bring you some truly fantastic opportunities!

If you’re under 16, you would be eligible to go from Y1 to Y2, the criteria for this is to complete 20 games at under 14 or below with 2 of those matches watched by a referee developer and to complete a laws of the game test. 
Once you turn 16, you will then be eligible to referee open age football games which is when you can look to go through the promotion scheme ie to level 6, level 5 and higher. 
I’d certainly recommend speaking to your county FA referee development manager for further support, which you should be able to find through your county FA website.
