Coaching opportunities?

Hi guys, not sure if this sort of forum is the right place for this post but worth a shot!

been coaching for a few years now, im qualified left at the start of this year due to some confidence knocking encounters with a coach and parents of players i was working with, after I left I applied for the bursary funded FA qualifications and now i have them Im looking to start coaching again.

If anyone is around the Birmingham area, is anyone aware of or part of clubs who are supportive and good with youth coaches? I’m 17, so probably looking for a similar age range to what I’ve coached before- u8-u13?

thanks for any information etc anyone has in advance!

  • Hi Katy,

There are a few clubs I’ve heard that are keen to support young coaches. I started at Sutton United FC supporting with their “Wildcats Programme” and I know they are keen on getting more support with their female pathway.

It might also be worth looking on the Birmingham County FA website on local opportunities as this is where a lot of clubs advertise for coaches etc.

    Hope this helps! Slight smile
