The FA will be staging its inaugural national Walking Cup Tournament in 2024 with county qualifiers taking place throughout the summer and qualifiers progressing to regional heats and then the National Finals on November 3rd at St Georges Park.

There will be 6 regional heats;

•       South West - Sunday 15 September Devon County FA, Coach Road, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 1EJ

•       Midlands & North - Saturday 21 September Derby Racecourse Hub, Racecourse Playing Fields, St Mark's Road, Derby, DE21 6AJ

•       North West - Sunday 22 September William Fosters, The Grove, Ince, Wigan, WN2

•       North East  -Sunday 29th September Leisure United Washington, Stephenson Road, Tyne and Wear, Washington, Sunderland  NE37 3HR

•       South  - Saturday 12 October Market Road,  Islington, London, N7 9PL

•       South East and East - Sunday 13 October Parsloes Park, Parsloes Avenue, Terrace Walk, Dagenham, Essex, RM9 5PU

•       National Final - Sunday November 3, SGP

These events will provide an excellent and enjoyable learning experience of running a Tournament event. For that reason, young leaders are being offered the chance to help facilitate the event.

All Young Leaders will need to be over 18 years of age, they should be able to be make their own way to the venue and be prepared to attend from 12. 30 pm to 6.00 pm (except for the South West heat  8.30 a.m to 6.30 pm). They will be involved in Tournament set up, venue dressing, registration, briefing, pitch management, results service, award presentation and derigging. We would anticipate inviting some of the Young Leaders to also staff the National Finals at SGP on Sunday November 3rd.
