Nominations for the Unsung Hero award for BBC's Sports Personality of the year award are now live! 

This is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on grassroots football and the people who make it so special. 

There will be 15 winners one from each of the BBC's nations and regions with 1 overall winner being announced live at the Sports Personality of the Year awards show.

This can be a brilliant opportunity to use the platform to grow your club and network locally and give credit to wonderful people in the world of grassroots football.

Nominations can be either written or videoed and simply need to say why the nominee deserves to be the Unsung Hero of the year. The nominee must be 16 or older and work or volunteer at a sports or physical activity club in any capacity. To nominate, you must be over 18, or have consent from someone relevant over 18.

Nominations close at 23:59 GMT 30th October 2024.
