Haven't heard anything at all up here in Oxfordshire!

Our county FA only received the final dates etc yesterday I believe. The first local rounds have to be played by August, with regional rounds in September and the final in October 

Whats going on here - how come some seem to be getting invited but others not?

Our County FA said that the FA had approached all the county FAs and asked them to express an interest in doing it. I can only assume that those County’s that do not have such a close link with walking football have possibly just responded with a no without even asking the clubs. It’s a real shame if that’s the case but it goes to show how each county probably views walking football….

It appears that our County FA has in fact been approached by the FA, its just that the County FA hasn't disseminated the information to us yet!

Apologies, I missed this post but Hannah is correct. All County FAs were asked if they able to deliver a local qualifying round with the majority doing so but some choosing not to this year. If a neighbouring County FA was able to accommodate teams from out of their County, then teams could enter their competitions at a local level. 

The problem with this is the timeline given to host the local round was very short and i don’t believe many county FAs talk with each other so would be unaware of the ability to have neighbouring county teams involved. 

Thanks Hannah - CFAs had this information in June but appreciate the tight timelines. We will learn a lot in Year 1 of the competition and make various adjustments to be bigger and better in future iterations.
