A club session needs at least 1 Lead Activator who ensures a safe and welcoming environment for players , has the right equipment and knows the LOTG of walking football. Our club is fortunate that we have 3 FA coaches who can organise sessiins accordingly but we also have encouraged members to take the online FA Playmaker qualification, FA Introduction to Emergency First Aid in Football qualification and attend FA waliing footballreferee workshop's. The result has been an appreciation of what it takes to ryn a fun and safe sesion and extended cover for session leaders .
The Playmaker course, although not senior player focused, should be used as a template for a ' How to run a walking football session ' workshop.
