  • I think engaging young volunteers can be difficult but the main thing is to involve them in your decision making and give them roles in responsibility to allow them to learn and keep them engaged in roles that they will enjoy. It is important that young people have roles in responsibility but are then supported by others to make sure any questions or concerns they have can be answered.

    This can perhaps be daunting giving away responsibility to younger people who may not be as experienced but as they take on that responsibility they only grow and can bring a fresh energy to the role.
