Patience, passion and positivity. Patience not just with players but also with yourself. You're only human, as are the players. Be patient in receiving feedback rather than just react emotionally. Reflective practice is a huge learning and development tool. No passion means no enthusiasm, and if you're not enjoying it, coaching can be a dark place. Positivity really means looking for the smallest of improvements and selling them as if they were the biggest ever. To that player, a little positive feedback makes a huge difference.
