Evening all,
I just wondered what everyone’s thoughts were on the use of 5 a side hard surfaced playing areas for training. As it doesn’t accurately reflect the type of conditions and surface that the kids will play on on a match weekend, I personally see it as purely an anaerobic fitness session with the opportunity for feedback on basics such as movement and communication that will compliment weekend training.
Does anybody else use it for drills of any kind and is so, do you find this approach makes a difference?
