  • Hi everyone,

My names Mick Hill and i'm a walking footballer from Grimsby. Possibly also known as a WF Referee and WF Referee developer!!

Lets make this online community the place to discuss all matters walking football. Help it grow by introducing club colleagues and others to the community.

Be a part of the TeamWalk Online Community.

  • Hi, John Munro here.

I play in goal for Charlbury Town Walking Football (along with a few other clubs when they are short of a keeper) and we play in the Oxfordshire Walking Football League.

I am also their Club Secretary.

Additionally, I am 'Club Secretary' for the 4 Oxfordshire County teams.

With another hat on, I am one of the organisers of the OWFL.

Michael Hill and I regularly compare notes on things!

  • And they are always interesting exchanges of views Thumbsup tone1

  • Morning everyone.

I go by Chris (FAN Full name not my thing to be honest) or if having a good day on the pitch my Mother's name for me, Cristiano.

Currently down in the very far SW, in Cornwall. Like many of us, both play and referee. But unlike Mick and John on pitch in midfield. But strangely enough did play to a decent level in my younger days in Goal.
Also run a local club. No pun intended. Also involved in the League by way as co-ordinating anything referee wise.

Decided not to participate in anything county/regional as watching and taking part the level of officiating is really terrible and not for me. I like our strict walking and almost zero contact here in Cornwall as the game should be played IMHO.

Currently working on a WF refs mentoring programme with a fellow ref and busy trying to get more people to the 2nd ref training course we have in October.

Was also heavily involved in getting WF into local sports centres and part of the prescriber network.

  • Thank you for kicking off the introductions Mick - great to have you!

  • Hi John, brilliant to have you engaging in the community. Looking forward to further walking football discussions!

  • Hi Chris, great to hear from you! Would be interested to hear more about your work with your WF referee mentoring programme and in the prescriber network - it sounds great!
