Walking Football for those living with long-term health conditions

We know walking football has many benefits for those living with long-term health conditions and there are many brilliant sessions out there which support these individuals.

One great example is Forget Me Not FC developed by Mick Geraghty and Uxbridge Amblers Walking FC in Middlesex. The project consists of Walking Football based activities for residents living with dementia and their carers, focusing on cognitive and physical exercise, as well as reminiscence and social interaction. Following the success of the programme, they have now expanded sessions across multiple London boroughs.

In recognition of their great work, a Forget Me Not FC participant had the opportunity to walk out of the tunnel at Wembley Stadium with Declan Rice at the recent England v Wales men's game.
