What would be your top tips on what to actually do in the first few sessions?
Some thoughts but not comprehensive
1. Balls and equipment such as cones. Lots of balls if possible so you start to look at ability levels in ball based warm up.
2. Have at last two coaches/helpers, one to get the session going, the other to take names/address/email etc
3. Make sure new players can find you. Can be a problem at a large venue
4. Plan some games with no goalkeeper whilst you see if you have any volunteer keepers.
5. Avoid school yard selection process
