Do clubs recognise the differences between recreational, social, festival and competitive WF?

Having been around WF since 2015 I have always advocated that there is room for all in this game and everyone should be welcomed into the WF community. What I have found to be frustrating though is the frequency that clubs expose their members to the wrong environment or clubs knowingly enter into events that their skill levels are too high for. Social and recreational play are easily identified, these are our own sessions or a game mutually arranged with a team(s) who we know has a similar outlook and can be relied upon to play a team suited to the social and recreational meaning of the game. It often goes wrong at festivals, I have always been of the opininion that festivals should not record the scores not hand out trophies it should be just the next step up from a social game whereby you have entered an event with a larger number of teams attending. It goes wrong because teams come along who are too competitive for the likes of others and one sided games occur or players are too fast and physical for their opponents. A club who just play socially should always be able to attend such events and seasoned competitive teams should stay away or send a team suited to the environment. Tournaments and Leagues are what they say they are and will always be played competitively. Again though there should not be too much aggression or physicality and they should be enjoyable experiences. In many cases they are but at times they lose their way due to teams/players being over competitive or referees not applying the laws effectively. So I still feel there is room for all but team organisers should do their uppermost to ensure that members of their clubs are only exposed to an environment that suits their needs and abilities. It is quite possible that a lot of the gripes and grumbles would disappear if this happened.
