Ambiguity

Is there currently a certain amount of ambiguity about what this TeamWalk Online Community is all about?

The 'About This Group' description is:-

TeamWalk Online is the digital home for leaders of Walking Football. Find and share resources, methods and ideas. Join and lead conversations. Help build a better, stronger, more united game for all.

It refers to ...the digital home for LEADERS of Walking Football.....

but isn't the aim to make the Community the 'one stop shop' for all things walking football for everyone with a FAN account?

That would suggest that everyone with an account who signs up when it is rolled out completely will be a LEADER?

Don't get me wrong, I am fully behind the project and for everyone in walking football to become a part of the community, but just hope that when it is rolled out completely, the FA are able to 'sell it' to everyone and not just those that run clubs/teams/leagues or work closely with County FAs......I hope grassroots players are put off as thinking they aren't important enough to get involved.

Just saying.....

  • Hi John, thanks for the question.

Once TeamWalk Online is an open public group it will be accessible to everyone involved in and interested in Walking Football. Our aim is for the community to be a place where all involve in the sport can be resourced but we recognise that those who are facilitating sessions, teams or competitions will benefit the most from this community.

We appreciate the feedback and will be taking all this on board as we develop this community to be as effective as it can be as it grows.
