Advice please - 2 questions

Morning all - I need some advice for the following.

Player 1 - Teenage female player has osgood schlatters in her knee. I've advised that it would be good to have a look at all the physical activity she undertakes in a week, and allow herself the opportunity to recover by dropping some of the activity for a few weeks.

At training on Tuesday at the start of fitness (I do 15/20 mins of fitness at the beginning of training) she wasn't taking part as fully as I had hoped, when I asked her, she said that she had football training at school from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and her knee was hurting. I took her out of this segment along with another player who has knee pain also. Our training is at 7pm.

I spoke to Mum and advised that having both sessions on a Tuesday was too much and to discuss it at home as a family, for me and my fellow coach we want her to be healthy that will always come before football.

What do you think I should do to aid her recovery but also to instill that they need to take this serious. This player can also be a tad petulant and disruptive! Queue separating players!

Any advice.
