Finding a Kit Sponsor

What are the best ways to find a kit sponsor for my team?

I'm a first time grassroots coach who has been running an U6 development team for the last 10 months. We are currently preparing for our first league season from Sept 2025 and I need to find a kit sponsor. I've asked around my friends and family but no interest so far. We even have a post out of FB and I am planning to put one out on LinkedIn, as well as emailing/speaking to some local business. I've never been any good at asking for money in this way and is totally out of my comfort zone but is there anything else I can be doing to gain interest as we need to order our kit soon? 

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I am/was in the same position. No response to anything I was doing, close to having to stump it up myself when the parents of the team really came through, one found kits and winter coat sponsors by talking to family and some local businesses that she knows well and another found away kit and hats, suddenly we have more stuff than we know what to do with. Not a huge sample size, but I would at least recommend getting the parents involved and seeing if they have any leads or can help with this bit.
