behaviour

Hi all

I’m just wondering if somebody could give me some advice I help coach an U7s team while I’m doing my level 1 and I’m having concerns about how the coach is towards some of the kids

basically we have a couple of kids who have additional needs and one kid in particular has trouble sometimes regulating his emotions and the coach threatens to suspend him from playing if he doesn’t stop. There have been times on match day that if the opposition are for example 3-0 up he will openly admit he won’t play the less skilful and it it always the ones that are SEN there was one instance where a kid come on played 5 mins and was taken off and was left on the side throughout the whole game despite this kid begging to go back on he was completely ignored and after the game had said he doesn’t want to come anymore as he not getting chance to play and also times where one of the kids will come to matchday and won’t be played at all

if anyone could give me advice I would really appreciate as I’ve tried to say something to this coach but nothing

  •  can you speak to the coaching team  and discuss possible issues within the group , between you and the other coaches can you look at triggers for behaviour and work out remedies

to assist the group to make it more enjoyable and engaging for the kids after all they are only seven each players character will be different and they should differentiated between for there learning and enjoyment sounds like the coach has lost sight of what they are there for to make football enjoyable and inclusive for all . who's going to remember an under 8 score nobody what relevance does it have none all they are doing is undermining individual  players and the team building opportunities
