I’m now in second season of coaching and loving the challenge. My team are progressing well and we’ve already moved up a few leagues. Boys on the whole are well behaved and respond well. However one of my boys can act aggressively and will often push opposing player in the back.
Today we had an incident where there was a small fight between this player and opposition. I’ve often warned him and reprimanded but he’s not learning. Ultimately he’s becoming a detriment to the team and this same player isn’t consistently attending our training sessions which just makes situation worse.
I’m interested to know what other coaches have done to address this? I’ve spoken with his parents previously but the message isn’t getting through. Think I may need to get more firm? Any help or advice appreciated.
