UEFA C course (self-funded application rejected)

I founded a Futsal club in a London Borough and currently serve as a playing coach for our FA Tier 3 team. My goal is to transition into a coaching role and support Futsal in both my borough and London as a whole. My aspiration is to attain UEFA B in Futsal, with UEFA C being a prerequisite. Regrettably, my self-funded application for UEFA C was rejected this year.

Inquiries with FA Learning revealed a high demand for the course, but the selection criteria remain undisclosed. I was told a committee determines acceptance, and it appears my recent completion of the Introduction to Football, just four months ago, may have contributed to my rejection. Conversations with fellow coaches in my network reveal similar frustrations, with one coach facing a repeated rejection despite completing the Introduction to Football over a year ago. The lack of transparency in this process leaves us in the dark regarding what's needed to access the course.

Rumors suggest that coaching a female team or holding a UK passport may improve acceptance chances. However, as a long-term resident in the UK, obtaining a UK passport would require surrendering my EU passport, making it a complex decision.

Specific questions I am seeking answers to:
  * What is the selection criteria and typical requirements to get accepted?
  * What location in London (or surrounding area) has a higher chance of acceptance? What was the total number of accepted and rejected applications per location?
  * Does coaching a female team increase your changes of being accepted?
  * Does it help if you have a UK passport?
  * Has anyone been successful in obtaining the course from another country (team needs to be within proximity so seems tricky)?
  * Any other *objective* and *measurable* ways to get accepted onto the course *with high confidence*?

I invite fellow aspirants to share their experiences regarding UEFA C course applications this year.
