U7 New coach and new team

Hi All,

I am a brand new coach starting a brand new U7 team, most of the team haven't played much football.

Just looking for a bit of advice and a nudge towards some good resources / session plans to help get me started. I have some ideas but would welcome any suggestions from any of the coaching community.

    For helping you explain the basics and as a brilliant resource take a look at Unisport on YouTube. It’s a great reference tool. Watch the video before you recommend it but for those simple how to improve…? Questions it’s a great starting point.

    The most important thing is making it fun at that age and getting them to pass. Coloured cones zoning the 3 main areas of the pitch help keep the playground mentality of chasing the ball all together instantly makes them learn to pass and tackle.
