Player review and assessment
Player review and assessment
evening jonathan
i just made my own table on word, tis a very personal thing to do an individual development. one thing that did help was asking the players themselves what they thought they were good at and what they thought they could improve on. this coming season i will be looking at 1 or 2 players to see how progression is going and to work with that, but also i will be asking parents to do the same with other players if they are happy do it.
one thing im learning is you cant watch everyone and im realistically only looking for minimal improvments not big changes.
Thanks Lee. All good points. Was thinking it would help give a bit of focus to areas to work on but also where their strengths are.
Hi Jonathon, when I have given feedback in the past I have found it effective to relate the feedback to the FA 4 corner model. This includes showing the players their strengths and weaknesses within each corner (technical/tactical, social, physical and psychological) Also depending on their age it is important not to overload them with information so one or two key areas is also great.
Let me know how you get on.
