Hello people,

My name is Oluwabukunmi Adebisi, and I am a Nigerian national currently living in the Netherlands as an expatriate. I work full-time as a software professional but am in the process of transitioning into a football coaching career.

Due to my limited proficiency in Dutch, I am unable to pursue the KNVB pathway locally and have therefore chosen to undertake my coaching education through The FA in the UK.

Since June this year, I have completed the following FA qualifications:

• FA Playmaker Certificate

• Safeguarding for Children and Adults

• First Aid in Football

• Introduction to Coaching Football

Currently, I volunteer as an assistant coach with the Under-15 (Team 2) group at Arnhemse Boys, and I also play amateur football with Duno FC.

I am now looking to take the next step in my development by enrolling in the UEFA C Licence course. However, I understand that the course involves both in-person club work and online learning. My main challenge is securing a temporary placement with a UK-based club for the practical components while continuing to live and work in the Netherlands.

I am able to work remotely from another country for up to 40 days a year, so travel to the UK for the required sessions would not be an issue. What I would appreciate guidance or assistance with is identifying how best to meet the in-club requirements, ideally, by connecting with a club in the UK where I could complete the practical elements during my stay.

I am very passionate about developing as a coach and building a long-term career in football. I would be extremely grateful for any advice, options, or support to help me overcome this hurdle and continue progressing through the coaching pathway.
