Hi Peter - one option could be starting with a match and then focusing in on what you would like to develop that session - would imagine this is context/topic specific so maybe add more details of age etc so we can share some more ideas.
Shaun
My team is mixed age, and the older players 26+ felt cooled down during practice to continue with the match after practice. On the next day, I tried warmup, practice, match, cool down, and it went well. Observing, I noticed that whole part whole un adopted was not a problem for younger players 17 to 24 years. I think the older players just needed time to adapt, and I told them it is just like halftime during matches. I am thinking of giving it a try next week and seeing their responses
Think that's a great way of approaching in terms of putting it into a game scenario and linking to matchday - as you suggest maybe for some of the players it will just take a bit more time to adapt. Be open to feedback and slight adaptations potentially in terms of time/length although ensure you give it enough weeks for you to make decisions regarding what you feel is the best option for the team.
