Mixed age training

Is +2 years mixed age contact training allowed? For example, can U13s make up the numbers for an U11 session? Player ability and physical size very similar. I know playing up is limited to one year for matches, but is more than 1 year acceptable for training?

  • Hi Samuel, another thing you can try is a form of walking football. It is a ZERO contact sport. We often have grandkids attend our WF sessions in the school holidays and they love playing in the same match: they are not worried about getting hurt but we are, so zero contact, three touch helps them keep safe, develop their game and enjoy putting one over on dad
