Does anyone know whether The FA accept older coaching qualifications as equivalent to the Introduction to Coaching qualification?

I know that old Level 1 Coaching is accepted as part of a coaches qualification set, but what about qualifications that pre-date the Level 1?

I have an older gentleman who is helping us by running one of our development squads, he's a great coach, and has an 'FA Coaching Course' certificate from 1999 which covers all of the same topics pretty much and was the fore runner to Level 1 Coaching.

I can't seem to be able to contact anyone at The FA to determine if they will recognise/accept this qualification as equivalent though.

Anyone have any experience of this (or ideas)?
