First of talk to the parents and get more background on what it is, how they work through, recognise triggers, adapt your coaching style to be inclusive. At same time though they need to tell you how they process instructions, information and that they have to learn they are part of a team
I have to echo everything Lee has said. It’s very much about the individual and how they learn. My son is neurodivergent and football can be a really hard sport for those with autism. The fa have produced a fact sheet with advice about teaching. I have attached a link
hoping this will help?
Thank you Debbie. Hope your son has had a great season and going from strength to strength on the pitch and off it as well.
Cheers Lee. He is doing well. He loves football and his coaches really support him
