Hi Community,

My name is Maria! I just move to London about a month ago from Nicaragua. I went to school in the USA and pursue a journalism career. This is where my passion for sports, particularly football started. I used to intern for the football team at my university and produced and edited videos for them. I specifically studied journalism because the dream back then was to become a sports reporter.

Then, I went into academia and pursue a masters in public health and I guess for a while I forgot about the original plan! Now, that I am here in London, I want to get involved as much as I can and figured since I love football so much maybe I can volunteer somewhere in a community.

Do you guys know about possible volunteer opportunities in football. My post code is SE14 6AS, but I am willing to volunteer wherever I find opportunities. I also have a blog in medium where I mainly cover travel content, music, and health topics, but I will love to start covering football news, do you have avenues here to pursue freelance writing when it comes to football. 

Also, are there avenues to learn about the rules of the game. I say this because I applied to be a volunteer for the media team at the Euro Cup in Germany and I am on my second round, so i want to make sure I know the rules of the game!
