Tracking back

Hello everyone, hope you're all well. I'm currently volunteering with a under 8's team and we have been trying to work on tracking back but the kids haven't been taking it on board. Just wondering if anyone has any advise or activities to help work on this. Thanks Jack

you could try a couple of things like if they lose the ball and dont get a certain amount of players back to the last third and the opposition score then the goal will count as 2, or if they win it back in certain areas and score directly from that play it counts as 2 goals.

another could be that they can commit as many players as they want into the last third but if they lose it they are not allowed back in till they win posession back.

if they can recognise the pros and cons of commiting and  positions they will soon get the hang of it in my opinion
