To introduce passing to under 7s, incorporate fun warm-up games like "Blob Tag" or "Piggy the Middle" that involve passing. Set up relay races where players pass the ball while moving through a course or around cones.
Use smaller-sized balls to make it easier for under 7s to handle. Start with basic stationary passing drills, like passing between two players standing a short distance apart. Gradually progress to more dynamic drills that involve moving and passing simultaneously. Madfut mod apk download 23
Hi Scott,
at this age players will naturally be more selfish and want the ball a lot so I wouldn’t stress too much about passing. I would focus on them becoming really comfortable on the ball. As they get older, passing will be easier if they are happy to keep the ball under pressure. There are some good ideas on the fa boot room where players look to stay on the ball but there is an option to pass as well. learn.englandfootball.com/.../Stay-on-the-ball
This season (U7) we will in incorporating a 3 players Vs Coach warm-up exercise in each session to encourage passing between team mates and stop the coach (or other player 'in the middle') getting the ball (natural progressions are possible with 2 touch only etc). Keep it fun! Hope this helps.
Hey Scott, great to here you're taking on a team at the start if their club football journey. In short - I wouldn't worry too much about passing. Ball mastery and confidence in possession all lead to passing as they develop. You want them to make their own decisions, so when this starts to happen, a great way to introduce the decision to pass is through language and messaging. Questions are great too: "can you look up?' "can you share the ball?" "can you find a team mate?" when can we dribble and when can we pass?" From here you can work on more technical passing elements like types of pass, weight of pass and passing accuracy, which all come as they get older.
Good luck and let us know how you get on! ️
