How do you create inclusive sessions?

Inclusivity is about making sure everyone feels part of football.

And it’s part of our ‘For All’ philosophy.

To encourage inclusion, we need to treat others with respect and positivity. The aim is to communicate that they’re welcome and valued within the game.

These are some core principles of inclusivity – and a great starting point. But what about practical examples?

  • before the pandemic i was holding an extra training session in smaller numbers, primarily for the youngsters that in my opinion were not getting involved enough in pratice or matches. youngsters who lack confidence will very easily let the ball go to another team mate, who in their eyes are better than them.

The aim of the pratices were purely.

    1. to make them feel valued

    2. to make them fell confident on the ball

    3. to take the pressure off , that they were more than likely feeling
