Hello all,
This is something I have been thinking about implementing for my u9 team for a while. I want to simplify commands, and have a buzz word so I can get my players to think about a set of tasks quickly at training and maybe games.
The acronym is T.H.A.T.
It stands for:
T.OUCH (control the ball)
H.EAD (scan)
A.CTION (a skill of choice)
T.ALK (communication from team)
So this is done when a player receives the ball from another player or a restart. Action means anything they choose, pass run dribble shoot etc.
As the players progress in their understanding of this you can explain that these things don't have to be in a specific order as. I.E. Head can be the first thing they do, or talk etc.
What do you think? Any advice is welcome before I implement it.
Thanks
Chris
