Motivating introvert players after lockdown

Hi all,I coach U14 boys team and since returning from this lockdown I have noticed some of my best reliable players have really come back quite introverted and seem to lack desire, energy and motivation on the pitch. They just don’t see the the same players as last season. What advice do you have to help get me them back got their best and achieve their potential. It’s not about the winning I just know they have a lot more to offer.

  • Evening Mike from what ive took from my own boys and others is the sad realisation that some have found the love of the xbox/playstation again through lockdown, and have been happy in their own company. Then from coming out of lockdown straight into competetive football has more than likely skipped the FUN out of it a bit.

Another thing to take from it over the last year is that they would of all grown/matured at different stages mentally and physically.

Im just trying to make sure the things we do as a coach has no pressure on it, wether thats in what i do or expect from them.

    Best of luck
