Important for the players, coaches and parents to have a rest and play other sports and activities. After a short rest we reflect on the previous season, getting the thoughts and ideas from both players and parents to review last season but also inform the next season. Our team is moving up to 11 a side so we stay connected with the other coaches and players to feed in messages as we get ready to return to training and matchday. It has been nice to use the Lionnesses games to spark conversation and anticipation for the season ahead.
Hi Christopher
Sounds a good approach
What forums or approaches do you use to get feedback from parents and players? WhatsApp responses to requests, one on one discussions, a parents meeting or other approach? Interested in what other coaches feel works best for them
Thanks
Kev

You can use a Microsoft form or similar software packages/document to get individual responses from players and parents at the end of the season - you may get some great ideas and reflections back that you have not previously thought of. I have also used a whiteboard at the side of the pitch to get players ideas on what we need to work on in the next learning cycle/block.
