My U7 girls are going to the England vs Norway group game at the Amex stadium, I've set them the task to see if they can replicate something that caught their eye in the game at the next training session wether that be a skill, a pass or hopefully a few goals! A good performance in the Euro will be fantastic for womens & girls football going into the summer.

That's a great idea, Jason! Great way for them to be inspired by role models. Yeah let's hope so - Fingers crossed they go all the way! 
What do you think they will come back with? Skills, passes etc that they find challenging or easy? And how will you progress/use what they bring back? 

Our theme at the moment is centered around being brave and creative on the ball, I know my girls love to try new skills they haven't seen before. So hopefully they get to see some individual flair that fires up their imagination. I think a session based around 1v1's or a challenge put in place during SSG's to take on the first defender would be exciting to see what the girls picked up from the Euro games.

Yeah that all sounds really good! Bringing their individual flair and selections into a 1v1 situation sounds very powerful for developing skill. And hopefully something that will translate to matchday.

Absolutely I'd love to share some feedback on how it goes. I regularly use real events/scenarios to capture the imagination of players and bring something different to a session. I also found that even a U14 boys team can get caught up in the fun and passion of a Real Madrid comeback against city scenario
