players resurgence response after this long and interruptive situation

Hi Everyone

just wondering what all your thoughts are and will be when returning to support your grass roots players .

1. are you likely to continue with your syllabus coaching sessions structured

2. mix and match non structured

3. just let them play match related practice

4. small formats 2v2 ect:

5. how long are you thinking of keeping them on the your chosen option

6. ask the players while in lock down what do they want their training practice to feel and look like

thank you in advance

baz

  • if you have a moment to add your rationale why you have chosen that option

There certainly isnt the interaction like there was on hive, which is a shame because other coaches thoughts and ideas were invaluable.

For me personally coaching u15's it will be a good old chat for a while to catch up properly, then a structured chaotic game.

Depending on how the countys comeback with their leagues ie wether they go straight back into the competitive games we a more than likely to

go back to structured training sessions thereafter.

Inbetween lockdowns i had started an extra session for half of the team each week for those that felt they wanted to improve, get fitter etc. but they were purely game based senarios and this was leading to one person each week to develop a 10 minute pratice of their own with the purpose of them working out what they want to achieve from that pratice and recieving feedback from their peers.

But the main thing to consider will be to ask the yougsters

    How they feel?

Are they glad to be back?

Is there anything they would like to talk about one 2 one?

And what do they want to do?

    all the best lee

  • i appreciate your input and thoughts lee , thank you for taking the time  regards baz
