club fees

evening everybody

with the current postponement in grassroots football and at the end of last season as well, what have your clubs done with regards to signing on fees for the kids.

has your club given a reduction in fees or are they still asking for the full amount to be paid for the season.

thanks lee

  • Hi Lee,

Our club still collected full subscriptions last season to ensure we as a club had the monies to cover unrecoverable costs like the hiring fees of the 3G pitches the clubs teams use through the winter which were effectively unusable to us via lockdown..

However we ended up with a surplus which we split equally between our teams and gave to them to do something with the kids on a team by team basis..

Thus far we've accepted monies for the season so far but haven't yet made a decision about what our position will be for this season. I suspect we may do the same as last year. all depending on how much of the season we ultimately lose.

  • thanks Chris my worries are with parents that may be struggling, ie. lost jobs, reduced hours and  feel they have no choice but to pay it,or worse still come to the conclusion that they just cant afford for their young one to play sport, which would be a tragedy. we as a club have payment plans set up and stuff like that, but it can be alot of worry for some parents especially when they might only be getting a few games out of this season

    all the best lee
