Any tips on helping 16/17 year old boys manage emotions during games? From research I understand that the logical part of their brain is not fully developed and that they tend to make emotional decisions

Hi Jeff, ive found that alot of the emotions come from areas out of the game, so i always try to chat to them, listen to the gossip from other teamates aswell.
i also find thats where individual development comes in by spending a bit more time with that player to help them understand the importance of nothing is perfect, and you will never learn and progress if WE didnt make mistakes
another thing is ti try and show them how to manage their own expectations, by breaking them down into stages. Example if weve just passed our driving test, were not going to be given the no1 seat for ferrari.,we generally get frustrated because we know what to do but maybe we dont know or just yet have the tools to get to that point
