There are 41 Mental Health Champions for Refereeing. Their role is to increase awareness around mental health within their Counties’ match officiating communities and to be a first point of contact for any match official who may want to discuss a mental health problem. With a couple of exceptions, the champions are not mental health professionals. They do though have the skills and knowledge to be able to offer initial support to any match official who contacts them and, if necessary, signpost them on to professional services.

You may wish to contact one of the champions from your County or one from a different County. The champion will then get in touch with you to arrange a convenient time to have a conversation.
